The main objective of this statistical operation is to measure the evolution of prices received and paid by farmers for agricultural products. The price received is the market price from the producer's perspective; generally speaking, they are the prices at the farm gate and do not include transport costs or any subsidies they may receive or indirect taxes or charges that may be applicable to transactions involving such products in which the farmer acts as seller.
