Statistics on ruminants and milk production provide information on the number of ruminants (cows, sheep and goats) in the Basque Country. They also provide information on the number of farms containing each of these species and on milk production, depending on their destination. In addition, the "Livestock Statistics" provides information on the Ministry's statistical operation. This operation includes semi-annual statistics on cattle and annual statistics on sheep and goats, all of which are required by a European regulation.
