It is my pleasure to welcome you to Eustat, the Basque Statistics Institute. We are the body responsible for the production of official statistical information that meets the needs and expectations of the Public Administrations, social agents and society in general. We are independent, accessible and reliable and the leading institution for the provision of data on the Basque Country.
We are entering a new phase with the aim of aligning our work with the Basque Country’s progress in all areas and contributing to this development with data and official statistics.
The starting point is defined by our commitment to continuous improvement and innovative approach, applying advanced methodologies and cutting-edge technological tools in the production of official statistics and providing the contextualised, quality information needed to improve decision-making, policies and public debate in our ever-changing society.
Eustat’s goal is to be a key actor in the provision of high quality data and the creation of a public data ecosystem that not only guarantees the availability and consistency of information, but also ensures its integrity and security. This involves establishing robust processes for the effective management of data to ensure accessibility and responsible use.
We will improve analytic and visualisation tools for decision-making and play an active role in the digitalisation and virtualisation of Basque Country data, in order to ensure optimal access and better use of the information. All this will be done in accordance with the European Statistics Code of Practice, promoted by the European Statistical System Committee, thus guaranteeing excellency and transparency in our work.
