Biographical notes 2009
Sixten Lundström (Ph.D.) is a Senior Methodological Adviser at the Family and Individual Statistics Methodology Unit, Statistics Sweden. He has worked on sampling and estimate methods for several years and has extensive experience in survey practice, particularly in the field of official statistics.
Carl-Erik Särndal (Ph.D.) was formerly professor of Statistics at the University of Montreal. He currently is a consultant to and undertakes research projects with several official statistics institutes. He has published numerous articles on sampling theory and applications, along with this books Model Assisted Survey Sampling, with B. Swensson and J. Wretman (Springer, 1992) and Estimation in Surveys with Nonresponse, with S. Lundström (Wiley, 2005).
