Biographical notes 2006


Eric Rancourt is Assistant Director of the Business Survey Methods Division at Statistics Canada. He is also responsible for Methodology Research there and is the production editor of Survey Methodology. He headed the Household Survey Methods section and was the research director into imputation techniques until 2003. He graduated from Laval University (Quebec) and joined Statistics Canada in 1990. His main fields of research focus on non-response, imputation, modelling and sampling. He has written many articles, particularly in the field of imputation. He is also an elected member of the ISI, webmaster of the IASS and the former president of the Ottawa Statistics Society. He has been teaching non-response, editing and imputation courses and seminars in several countries since 1998.
