Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is measured annually via the Economic Accounts statistical synthesis operation, which gathers information on the activity of the economic agents of the Basque Country, recording the total monetary value of current production of goods and services. It allows the evolution of the economy to be understood in nominal and chain volume index terms, presenting the economic analysis from the point of view of supply, demand and income. Gross Domestic Product is, without doubt, the most important economic macro-magnitude for the estimation of the economic capacity of an economy.
