Knowledge and quantification of the population and families resident in the Basque Country requires diverse statistical sources. On the one hand, ten-yearly recounts of the population and families are made through the Population and Housing Census, as well as by the Population and Housing Statistics (EPV) in inter-census periods; on the other hand the municipal demographic information is renewed through the Municipal inhabitants statistics.
