The Survey on Innovation records, among other variables, the percentage of innovative companies as well as the amount of expenditure on technological innovation, its distribution between different activities or its public funding. Technological innovation activities cover the range of scientific, technological, organisational, financial and commercial work, including knowledge investment, that leads, or aims to lead to the implementation of technologically new or improved products or processes.
