Current Surveys

This section brings together all the useful information for those who have to answer one of our surveys.

If you have received a letter from Eustat informing you that you form part of the sample  of one of our surveys and you find yourself filled with doubts: Do I have to do this? Will my personal details be safe? I don’t understand this question… here you will find the answers or the contact details that will help you solve all your queries.

Data collection is an essential job to obtain, once the process is complete, quality information that is useful for the whole of society. This is also the point where collaboration from the public is essential. Knowing that this can often be a thankless task for the person who has to answer them, we at Eustat wish to make this chore as tolerable as possible and so the design of the questionnaires has been simplified, different ways of doing the survey have been made available and now, all the essential information has been brought together as one in this section.

Survey website for enterprises

In the Ataria website you can sign in and link all the received surveys with just one user name.

Why replying to surveys is obligatory

The research work carried out by Eustat is official and regulated by Law and as such, it is obligatory to reply to it.

The legal reference that stipulates this can be found in articles 9 to 16 of the Statistics Law of the A.C. of the Basque Country of Law 4/1986, from 23 April.

Confidentiality and security

Eustat is bound and pledges not to disseminate or publish, directly or indirectly, in any event or under any concept, personal details of people providing information, nor shall it use this information for purposes other than exclusively statistical ones.

Only non-identifying information or information referring to directory-files, which is to say lists of establishments, companies, operations or other bodies, can be disseminated or published.

Details provided by the interested party, different to those supplied in relation to statistical operations, will be used uniquely and exclusively for the purposes set out in the relevant actions or procedure. In no event shall these details be treated or given over to third parties without the express consent of the affected party, or in the circumstances provided for by Law.

Pursuant to the provisions of current legislation, the assignor of the data may, at any time, exercise their rights to access, rectification, cancellation and opposition in the manner determined by the legislation.

The legislation that guarantees Data Confidentiality is stipulated in articles 19 to 23 of Law 4/1986, from 23 April, on Statistics of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, by the relevant provisions applicable in Statutory Law 15/1999, from 13 December, on the Protection of Data of a Personal Natureand by the Regulation of safety measures for automated files containing data of a personal nature, approved by Royal Decree 994/1999, from 11 June.

In order to guarantee security and confidentiality of data in the event of an on-line survey, all the pages of the questionnaires used by Eustat are on a safe server, which guarantees the confidentiality of the information that is exchanged between your computer and the Eustat server. The entity certifying the use of a safe server is, in our case, IZENPE, as it is with the other Basque Administrations. You can therefore place your trust in this certificate issuing entity.
