Technological innovation activities

Technological innovation activities are a group of scientific, technological, organisational, financial and commercial work, including investment in new knowledge that leads to or is intended to lead to the creation of technologically new or improved products or processes.

The implementation of R&D (in-house or acquired by other companies) may be one of these activities. However, an establishment may carry out other activities such as acquiring material or immaterial technologies required to perform innovations, training of the staff involved in the innovation and other technical preparation for implementing the innovation.
