Main Activity (EPT)

Main Activity (EPT)

The main action carried out by the subject at a given moment. If various activities were to take place simultaneously, the subject would decide which was the main one.

The following example shows what can happen in the case of simultaneity: when activities related to the media occur at the same time as journeys or physiological needs, the latter are considered the main activity and media activities (watching television, listening to the radio, etc.) are thought of as the secondary activity.

The order of importance of personal activities is included in Codes and Nomenclatures.
