Type of transport operation

Type of transport operation

The following modes are defined:

  1. Collection and distribution transport: The operation of transporting specific goods, or operations related to said goods, which are loaded and/or unloaded in separate batches at multiple stops throughout the route (for example the distribution of beer bottles and the collection of empty bottles).
  2. Shuttle transport: Transport consisting of a series of journeys repeated throughout the day, with outbound journeys that are identical in terms of distance and end destination, and with identical return journeys. The goods on the return journey are normally different from those on the outbound journey, or one of the two journeys is empty. Each outbound and return journey is considered a separate operation.
  3. Normal transport: Any transport operation that does not fit into the above methods.
