Upper secondary education

This is part of post-compulsory secondary education and, as such, is voluntary. It is made up of two academic years that are ordinarily taken between 16 and 18 years of age. It offers different specialisations, it is organised flexibly and can have varied routes. Pupils who successfully complete upper secondary education in any of the specialisations receive the Spanish Baccalaureate, which is both vocational and academic.
